December 16 hymn is from the United Evangelical Church in Cuba Lutheran Synod
Hymn: Tú dejaste tu trono y corona por mí (You left your throne and crown for me)
Lyrics: Emily E. S. Elliot (1864)
Music: D. Sankey
Performer: Martha Y. Romero Lorenzo
English lyrics
You left your throne and crown for me,
When you came to be born in Bethlehem
But you weren’t allowed to enter the inn
And you had to be born in manger
Refrain:
Come to my heart, oh Christ
For there’s a place for you in it
Heavenly praise the angels give,
In which they praise the Verb,
But, oh Lord humble you came to the earth
For giving life to the worst of sinner
The foxes can always have their caves
And the birds their nests, too,
But the Son of man had no place
Where place his head
