Male, African American, 19, must be 5’9” or taller, must possess football skills – (we will be testing), chiseled, handsome, fit, smart, mature for his age, a young man of integrity and principle, appealing, likable, Ray is a college freshman on a football scholarship, where he’s struggling to find his footing between academic requirements and the grueling football practices. Ray’s life becomes even more stressful and complicated when he discovers that his 11 year old brother, Fahmarr, (nickname Fay) is virtually living on his own back in Atlanta, with their single mother who is struggling with drug addiction and incapable of taking care of him. Ray decides he can’t bear the thought of putting Fay in foster care and secretly hides him in his dorm room, facing certain expulsion from the team and possibly the college if he’s found out. Ray is touched and amazed by the outpouring of support and friendship from his teammates, his girlfriend and his coaches. An extraordinary young man who comes to understand the real meaning of family, Ray faces a heartbreaking dilemma and may have to choose between being the guardian of his brother or continuing in school and football
