Body of a young man was found at the farmers’ protest site on the Singhu border on October 15. The young man’s body was found with a severed hand and a pool of blood on the ground in Haryana’s Sonipat district. The body was found hanging from a police barricade near the main stage of protesting farmers. Reports say he was a labourer belonging to the Dalit community and a resident of Punjab’s Tarn Taran district. Farmers at the Singhu border reportedly accused the Nihangs- a ‘warrior’ Sikh group of murdering the young man. Some reports say that the Nihangs allegedly beat the young man to death for desecrating the Sikh holy book.
